There, he was awarded a Diploma in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, solidifying his position as a trained and accomplished surgeon.
In 1995, Dr. Nasir Uddin began his illustrious journey in government service, where he demonstrated his commitment to serving the community through his expertise in oral and maxillofacial surgery. His dedication and passion for his field were duly recognized when he joined as an Assistant Professor (CC) in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Dhaka Dental College and Hospital in September 2010.
Driven by a desire to continuously enhance his skills, Dr. Nasir Uddin pursued specialized training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from the Hospital for Sick Children, University of Toronto, Canada, in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Additionally, his training in Distraction Osteogenesis under the guidance of renowned maxillofacial surgeon Prof. Dr. Asish Kumar Ghosh in India empowered him to introduce mandibular lengthening surgery in Bangladesh, pioneering advancements in the field within the country.
Dr. Nasir Uddin’s contributions to the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery have been widely acknowledged, with accolades such as the Modus Award in 2004 at the Asian Congress on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Tokyo, Japan, further cementing his reputation as a distinguished figure in the medical community.
